Website is up and this site is down

WEBSITE IS UP - GO CHECK IT OUT!! - www.waypointadventure.org
The long awaited website is finally here! We started this process desiring a site that expressed the uniqueness and transformational power of our programming. We also wanted it to be easy to use and functional. We believe that the end product encompasses both of these elements beautifully. We want to give Nat Sweeny, Sean Fournier and the team at Colangelo a big THANK YOU for spending so much time, energy and resources on this project. Their expertise and creativity has given all of us this amazingly functional and creative website.

THIS SITE IS DOWN
With the launching of the website we will no longer be using this blog to share information. As mentioned above, the new website is very functional and all of our blog posts will now be found on that site. We hope that you will come on over to the site and keep checking back often for the latest Waypoint Adventure news.

EQUIPMENT DRIVE!!

WE NEED GEAR! There a lot of prospective programs on the brink, and we need to start outfitting ourselves. There are two ways to help:

1) Donate your old stuff - This can be clothing or equipment. Some of our needs include snowshoes, ski poles, kayaks, paddles, PFD’s, boots, socks, synthetic layers, rain jackets, warm jackets, and hats. If you have anything else that you feel we may be able to use, please let us know. If you have old equipment, you can reply here or email us at info@waypointadventure.org. We’ll arrange to pick it up!

2) Donate Monetarily - We have set a goal of $3000 for our upcoming snowshoeing program. Simply click the “Donate” button and enter the amount you wish to contribute. With this money you can fully outfit our snowshoeing program! It won’t take much to get there if you’ll help us spread the word! Tell your friends and family! Help Waypoint provide life transforming outdoor adventure programs for people of all abilities!

Momentum is Building!

Since July, the development of Waypoint Adventure has been moving forward at a consistent rate of speed . Dan and Adam have been working hard to make sure all of the foundational pieces are in place (policies and procedures, legal paperwork, etc.), in order to ensure firm support of programs.

We are now working hard to make contacts and beginning to fill the calendar with programs. At the moment we are directing our efforts toward recruiting groups. As soon as we have the staff capacity needed, we will begin offering open enrollment style programs. If you know of a group who might be interested in Waypoint Adventure programs, please let us know or have them contact us. Until our website is officially up and running, you can find our contact information on this blog or on facebook.

A Great Fundraiser!

We want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who was able to come out last night for Waypoint's first fundraiser! It was a huge success and we owe it all to you guys! It was so great to see all of the familiar faces along with so many new ones. We really enjoyed getting to catch up with all of you and share our excitement of things to come. A great night of pizza, bowling, and community was had by all. Again, we just want to express our gratitude to everyone -- our amazing dessert bakers, t-shirt makers, those who spread the word, and all of our supporters whether near or far, we could never do any of this without you. We truly are a part of an amazing community. Here are some pictures from last night, enjoy!

NEW LOGO!

Here it is, the long awaited logo! We realize that it has taken a long time but we're really happy with the result and hope you are as well. Some of the thoughts that went into this design were based on a desire for something simple, clean and classic but also a need to contain elements of our mission. We feel like this logo is all of those things. It's simple and clean enough to carry on and stay relevant for a long time all while containing elements of mountains and upward motion that signify the positive transformation we want to produce in our programming

We want to say thanks to Peter Smyth and the team at Colangelo for spending so much time and energy helping us understand and refine our direction as well as Steve Smith for providing us with the final product. It wouldn't fit as well as it does without all of you. Thank You!
